USPS says they are working hard to meet your holiday deadlines.Mail carriers are putting in the extra effort through the weather to fill mailboxes and get packages on doorsteps. It takes a lot of layers and a lot of patience. “You gotta bundle up,” mail carrier, Tim Kennedy, said. There are a lot of packages and people waiting on stuff.”But for 26 years, Kennedy has run his route – scanning packages and filling mailboxes.
Last but not least, working from home gives me the freedom to change my geography. Since I started working from home in 2021, I have lived in 3 different towns in Kentucky as well as Orlando, Florida. My wife got accepted to the Disney College Program, so I got to move down there with her and become a Disney passholder. A new software program is easy to buy but getting a new certification takes time you may not have at the moment.
Working From Home Is Not A “Real” Business?
Please comment below if this is something you’d care to read about. Not needing to drive to a job has essentially added more time to my day. Most days, that extra time is used for work, which helps me to get more done and ultimately to make more money. But I can also use that time in other ways, like with family, relaxing, or even sleeping more.
Working from home, I have no co-workers to distract me, and I find that I’m usually a lot more productive. Over the years I’ve received a lot of interesting comments and questions from friends and people who find out that I work from home. Apparently, there are a lot of misconceptions about what it’s really like to work from home (no, I don’t sleep in or spend all day in my pajamas…or worse!). In November or 2008, I made the jump from a typical office job to working from home as aself-employed internet marketer. I consider myself blessed to be able to work from home for the past 10+ years and it has honestly changed my life in several ways.

The best part is I can take my work with me wherever I go. This is easily the biggest downside to what I do for a living, partly because it impacts my family as well as myself. Fortunately, I’ve gotten better about this since we’ve had kids, but I still need to improve in this area. This is partly related to working from home and partly related to being self-employed.
#8 – I can hang out with my dog, who conveniently doesn’t contribute to any sort of office gossip or drama. She’s a great coworker because I can talk through my ideas with at her and she just smiles at me, reassuring me that I am in fact a genius. The only drama she causes is when I’m on a call and she barks at the gardener (sometimes she decides she just doesn’t like him…but only sometimes). Working at home often provides insurance benefits for workers, and they’re going to face less pressure and tension.
And the number one reason why I love working from home? My time is my own.
Virtual private networks also protect your information and offer added security over the internet to a remote server. This helps keep your files and records secure and open to your employees. As an entrepreneur, you will be able to give individuals living in rural areas more jobs.
Working as a freelancer will have a higher revenue potential, but you'll find companies hiring an SEO consultant by the dozen. The position requires some significant knowledge about ranking in search engines, but it has a high earning potential if you can get results. Just know that you'll also want to pay for an SEO software tool like SEMRush to implement the best strategies. Because the job is all performed online, it can be done from anywhere in the world.
Acquire new skills
People experienced major changes in their daily lives. If a routine is no longer working for me, then I can change it. If I want to change my working hours, then I can. Heck, I could stay in bed all morning and only work in the afternoon and well past midnight. I don’t have someone telling me how I should be working.
HandoutSince its inception, more people have had complete control over their hours and days off. They work when they want to and can spend time with family when needed. Work-at-home moms don’t have unlimited time with kids, but you do have more frequent opportunities to be with your children. Sometimes we may get stressed with working with kids around; however, don’t worry, I have some useful tips. Besides, working from home also saves money on childcare costs for children who are not yet school age. Last but not least, working from home allows you to spend more time with your family or for yourself.
Then I used to have to speed walk to make sure I caught my train. And to help out, at the end of this post you’ll find some links to where you can find extra support if you need it. Because let’s face it, most of us have had a pretty severe love/hate relationship with being a fully remote worker over the last year. I’ve definitely spent most of my time in the hate category.
As with many remote jobs, I rarely have a meeting with my webcam on, so my work attire is usually a hoodie or t-shirt. And I treasure the extra sleep I get from not driving 15, 30, or even 60 minutes to and from work. First, I save a lot of time by not commuting five days a week to an in-person job. Because of this, I don’t have to wake up super early to eat, get presentable, then drive to work. On the other hand, job seekers will be able to work remotely while still being offered traditional benefits from a company like health insurance or a retirement account. Most companies even provide paid training to teach you more about the profession.
A snowstorm has virtually no impact on my work schedule, except that I need to find some time to clear off the sidewalk and driveway. I usually try to get outside and go for a quick 10-minute walk around the block a couple of times each day to get some fresh air. I’ve found it to be a great way to clear my head and re-focus.
By working at home, you’ll save money on gas, public transportation costs, and potential car maintenance issues from frequent use. You’ll see an immediate difference in your bank account when you don’t need to bear the costs of commuting. The benefit of working from home is that you can create your own schedule. A remote position is helpful for all kinds of individuals, including full-time workers looking for part-time income and also corporate employees looking to transition careers. The biggest perk was getting to work at my own pace and working with other freelancers who also wanted to escape the drudgery of a 9-5.
